Students can express their ideas or their personal experiences that usefull for themselves and others through their writing skills. They can practice their writing skill by doing beautiful writing as well as creative writing. One form of its beautiful writing is poetry writing.

Usually, a good rhyme is a rhyme which able to raise the feeling and emotional of the readers until make the atmosphere more lively through a figurative language. A rhyme contains ideas and thoughts of the author including what he/she is being thought and described it in figurative language.

The Agency of Archives and Library of Bangka Belitung Province through the Library Material Development and Library Service field has conducting Poetry Writing Competition for Elementary School / Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students of 2018.

This poetry writing competition was implemented on May 14, 2018, at the Institute for Educational Quality Assurance (LPMP) of Bangka Belitung Province. It was attended by 50 participants from various elementary schools in the province of Bangka Belitung Islands.

The purpose of this competition is fostering the mentality of Elementary School/Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students and growth their writing talent since an early age to be a good writer in the future.
